Brand & Model: Yamaha UX3
Type: Upright Piano
Year: 1988
Size: 52”
Outstanding condition inside and out, this Yamaha UX3 52” upright piano was made in 1988 and has been reconditioned to a nearly like-new condition. The hammers are in great shape. Soundboard is perfect, and the action is smooth and responsive.
Unlike some other listings you may see, this piano has undergone a quality refurbishment, and not just a cursory cleaning/hammer filing. Also, the serial number is clearly shown here–watch out for sellers who hide the serial number or try to imply that their pianos are newer than they actually are!
The UX3 is the upgraded version of the famed Yamaha U3. Aside from aesthetic upgrades, the UX3 also has longer bass strings, higher grade wood for the soundboard and higher grade hammers. The distinctive X shaped back posts gives it greater tuning stability. Due to the high costs of production, Yamaha later discontinued this design, which is one of the reasons the model is so sought after.
The piano has been fully inspected and recently tuned. It is 100% ready to be enjoyed by its next owner! Includes a 5 year warranty.
A new, comparable Yamaha upright lists at over $22,000. Here for just $5,800 + tax!
