Selection

We search nationwide for high-quality pre-owned pianos to bring to the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area. Only a small percentage of the instruments we consider qualify for our inventory.

We focus primarily on respected makers such as Yamaha, Kawai, Steinway & Sons, Mason & Hamlin, Boston, and other well-built pianos when the individual instrument stands out.

We look closely at the condition of each piano—how it has been maintained, its age and history, and whether it has the musical and mechanical quality we expect from an instrument we offer for sale.

Inspection

Each piano that enters our showroom undergoes a full, expert inspection.

We look at the condition of the soundboard, bridges, pinblock, strings, action, hammers, keys, pedals, and other mechanical components. Worn or damaged parts are repaired or replaced as needed, and each piano is prepared according to its individual condition and needs.

Our goal is to present every piano accurately and give buyers a clear understanding of the instrument they are considering.

Detailing

A proper piano detailing is a substantial part of the preparation process. A grand piano typically requires between three and eight hours to detail thoroughly.

We use specialized products and tools for different finishes, metals, keys, hardware, and interior areas, and some aspects of the work require considerable experience to perform properly. We are able to handle most of this work in-house, but when specialized cabinet or finish work is needed, we may work with piano restoration professionals to ensure the instrument is properly prepared for our showroom.

Tuning and Preparation

Our pianos receive more than a simple tuning. We go through the instrument carefully to make sure the action is responsive and even, the pedals and mechanical components are functioning properly, and any issues that need attention are addressed.

When appropriate, we also make tonal adjustments (voicing) to bring out the best in the individual instrument. Any repairs or parts replacement that we determine are needed are handled before the piano is offered for sale.

The goal is for our customers to shop with confidence, knowing that each piano has been carefully selected, inspected, prepared, and made ready to be enjoyed in its new home.
